Id like to get an estate car for 500 euro. Im selling my car and id like something to get around in till i get my next car, i also plan on mostly driving sports cars for the next year at least so having something sitting there that i could put furniture in etc would be great. Id say 850 euro would be my maximum budget aiming to get somethign for 500. The only two things that i would care about are some leval of reliability (obviously its not going to be in good condition) and it being big enough to be worthwhile having. Any thoughts?

All of G15's ones.. the Aerodeck is especially big, and fairly ugly too. There are a few Carina estates going around too.

A €250 Clio would be unlikely to do the "some leval of reliability (obviously its not going to be in good condition) and it being big enough to be worthwhile having" bit

I reckon if you hold out a while you could get something like a 2.0 petrol Carina or Mondeo in pretty good condition for that price.

Also consider an omega or a scorpio. You might pick up one of those for handy money on ebay, but don't forget at least €315 VRT.

also bear in mind, a year's tax on a 2,0 will cost you another €500

The smallest worthwhile estate is going to be a 1.3 Corolla or 1.4 Escort... and that is seriously pushing the boundaries of worthwhileability!

Something like a Suzuki Carry or Bedrord Rascal may fit the bill. Chronically uncool though

Yea i waws thinking something like a modeo could be good, didnt know you could get an omega estate that would be nice. A small van could actually be really good though, is commercial vehicle tax cheap?
