I work in Longford and commute in the Galway road through Roscommon, since the schools have gone back I find I get held up in traffic around Ros. Is there any way I can avoid going through the town in order to get on to the Longford road ?

you could turn right as you come into ros town down the ballinagard rd. which is just after you enter the 60km/hr zone. Go to the end of this road and turn left and head back in golf links rd. to roundabout. turn right and your back on track.

This will bypass all the schools in the town but there will still e other traffic.

The map here will let you know what I mean
