ok now this has probably been asked a few times before but i couldnt find anything

basically im on the dole and will be working part time soon for a few months and was wondering if you still receive payment if working under 20 hours? ill be doing 15 and would be earning less than the dole just soley working the 15

i know there is a part time/ back to work allowence but im not sure if that is paid in place of the wage paid by your employer or added?

one part of me is sayin feck it, stay on it as ill still be able to sign as ill be doin evenings and its only for four months

the reason ive posted in here is because i cant be arsed dealing with a welfare officer, theyre trained to put you down

    thankin you

Not all welfare officers are that bad tbh, at first they can be but once they see you are a genuine case and its not a choice of 'lifestyle' they are usually nice,...anyhoo to answer your query try citizens info @1890777121, usually they are incredibly helpful

SW employees are quite helpful, they are most certainly not trained to put people down. You can work a maximum of 3 days a week and receive some of your Jobseeker's Benefit/Allowance for the days you are not working. However, you would have to be looking for part-time work for the other days in the week or full-time work elsewhere.
