I reckon it would have been a lot cheaper without them, right?

English Microsoft Office 2007 Small Business about €250
English McAfee Security Centre 8.0 - 15 Month Subscription about €40
3 Year Hardware Support - Next Business Day about €150

    Extra Cam in lid €30

So you're looking at around €950 for the base laptop? That's not bad at all...

Drop the mc afee subscription, you can get free anti virus software that is just as good. Do you really need office? You can get open office, which is a free open source office suite. Dropping the two of these would save you nearly €300.

Yeah I'd definitely have ditched hardware support and especially McAfee. That way for cheaper then what you paid, you could have gotten the machine plus the vastly superior 8600Gt card and higher res screen as well. I won't bother saying ditch office, as I'm sure you have a reason for that....open office is good but sometimes you really need Office....'almost as good' doesn't really cut it when you run into a problem :D

I'd ditch support as well but a lot of people like that safety net.

It wasn't for me, it's for a small business, so all of the extra was mandatory

If I was buying for myself I would've waited for a deal on the Dell ebay shop, and used avast and google docs :D

Ah right. I probably would have gotten the 9 cell battery.

What methods of payment can you use to pay for a laptop from dell. all i see from the website is Credit Card. Can another method be used by phone or anything?
