Nuvi - how to set POI alerts

So I've got a nuvi 660 loaded with safety camera locations curtsy of Krusty. Does anyone know how I tell the nuvi if I want to be notified when coming up to them once their loaded in. Or is this information set in the gpx file before loading into the nuvi? And is stuff like the side of the road in the gpx file or do you…
