Uk: Not sure if they'll ship to you. Are you willing to buy chinese.

At the moment we only play at HRTA, drogheda airsoft and Predator in the north(Predator will soon be off limits except for renting their guns!). Drogheda is still under construction though it is playable. John is going to build a town soon.

After October 1st, UK retailers will not be able to ship to you.

If that kind of thing goes on, it's without our (or certainly my) support or approval. It's the kind of thing that would damage the sport as a whole, and probably wind up with people getting in trouble with the Gardaí.

Only play on designated airsoft skirmish sites, please! At the moment the only ones are in Swords, Drogheda, and Down.

Hope to see you at one of them soon!

I'm in Galway too inc looking for a place aswell.

The problem with going into the woods in Ireland is there are none. Not like in Poland anyway. Irelands to small to go off and find your own little spot some one will see you and freak out.

I've been asking around where I am for a suitable bit of land but I've been very busy the last few weeks and put it on hold. Most of the land around here is flat open ground not suitable for what we want other than the forrestry.

The only other thing I can think of is the likes of Inishturk it's an abandoned island (I think it's abandoned anyway nobody lives there any more) off the cost of Galway/Mayo

An island would be a good idea but you would need to make sure you would let your local Gardai know what is going on. Can imagine the ARU dropping in on us on ropes from helicoptors and the whole of the Irish Navy off the coast.:D

Island would be the optimum location for the west coast.

    1. Sheep.
    2. Transport.
    3. Weather?(WIND???BBs+ Wind=Mayhem)
    4. Cover?

Other than that, you could do some kind of delta seals naval assault..wait, batteries...

the reason why I ask do some one play at buildings and woods is that's the way we doing it in Poland, there are no skirmish sites like in Ireland, people just serch for spots like old abandoned factories, big woods and play there from time to time. those places alsow got a owners but mostly they dont care about foling a part buldings, and if they do and some one show up we just say that we sorry, explain what we are doing and go out :) the secend thing is that for me training on static targets and practis moving and entering rooms in team is alsow importend and for that you need your own spot. but I'm in ireland and I will do like you sey :) I was just explayning how airsoft/paintball look in my country :)

Irish landowners are not so friendly. Here, you would most likely get arrested.

yup, or you might end up with armed members of the gardai pointing real guns in your faces because they think what your carrying is real.

So they did get off the Island.

There are house's, sheds, shops, stone walls, like a mini Aran Islands except completely abandoned. I could be wrong about it being Inishturk but I know there's an island out there like that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,877 ✭✭✭liamo333

He has a house on the island. It is 180 acres and is around a mile off the shore. Will find out more info now.

Maybe even get a spot of fishing in on the way.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,789 ✭✭✭✭ScumLord

Inishturk has people living on it but there are apparently loads of uninhabited ones along the west coast and mutton Island is for sale here.

    http://www.privateislandsonline.com/muttoneuir.htm

It might be possible to rent it for a weekend however it says there's a seal colony on the island but they might not be there all year round. If the luxury holiday Island price are anything to go by (€1400 a week) it wouldn't be that expensive between a large group.

I'd say a diving company would know where all the good spots would be.
