[EDIT] Just to link Airsoft to Rambo for those worried about that sort of thing.

When i was a child I often imagined myself as a soldier. Oh i used to creep around the forest with my toy guns and my pickshaft AK74, never believing I could never fulfill my dream....seeing films like Rambo as a wee boy had a profound effect on me, educating me on the many dos and donts of modern combat, jungle warfare, and espionage.

In my late 20s, having been unable to become a member of the SAS, i find myself having to make do with Airsoft. Airsoft for me is the closest i will ever come to releasing those instinctual urges instilled upon me by countless rambo movies as a boy, to creep around the forest trying to counter the opposition in a safe, harmless, and fun way! Plastic BBs are a god-send in that they do not harm and at under the 1J limit they pose no threat at point blank range to the eye! I am so glad I never stayed in the military to experience real warfare, and now am content in my airsoft adventures.

but now and then i admit, i drift back to the days when to be rambo was the dream.....

    Rambo 4 Trailer: http://rambo-4-trailer.blogspot.com/

Was just posted on another site im on, dont know if anyone else is aware of it. but here it is anyway.

Ok ive added in my segway from Airsoft to Rambo, in a non violent and acceptable way

[sorry boston, i KNOW you disapprove mate]

    Airsoft related????

Interesting clip though. It's been a while since I seen a hollywood movie with so much blood and gore.

EDIT: Nice edit on the post. Really good. Brings back memories of my childhood as well.

It's no big deal or anything. I was just surprised to see a thread about a Rambo movie in the airsoft forum :D

I was actually half-expecting several posts stating that it could be harmful to airsoft due to all the violence & killing in the movie. :p Not an opinion I share though.

To make it officially airsoft related: Has anyone ever thought of doing the whole 'rambo' dress style in Airsoft. Ya know, bad haircut, 80's headband, topless, and a mean look about ya. Oh and throw in a few bottles of beer to slur your speech a little.

i was trying to think of a segway between airsoft and rambo, ya know i just couldnt think of one...

    well done :)

I often wondered if an airsoft fancy dress was ever done, come as your favourite tv hero.

Or an airsoft game where ya keep shooting until the opponent gives up (the amount of times these guys in movies get shot is ridiculous) a-la Hollywood.

Hi caps would be a must, in keeping with the hollywood-never run out of ammo style.

Carrying as many guns and as much ammo as physically possible would also be a must.

    ok heres the question:

how does one simulate an airsoft bow and arrow? :D for rambo, its a must!

Juggernaut game at HRTA. Everyone vs one guy. That one guy is defending 2 halves of a pistol that is the only gun that can be used to kill him. In most cases, it's a matter of shooting the juggernaut until he runs away in pain. So it's kinda similar....shoot the juggernaut until he gives up.

Or those games where you have 3 lives (rare, but we've played a few)

ya could make a foam covered arrowhead if ya must they look stupid but are safe[assuming its made correctly], they use them in another combat simulation past time in the states called Dagorhir. Basicaly remove the arrowhead and attach a very wide coin to it which is covered in layers of foam, perfectly safe. Looks like great crack so it does Foam swords and shields and all that ;) .

for the foam arrow i mentioned above ya wouldnt need protection. the front is so wide it cant even hit ya in the eye and their slowed down alot due to the foam head, anyways nuff about that

Looks exceptionly violent , loved the quote stallone used when asked about certain political statements within the film and the increased violence
"sometimes when you do gods work you have to raise the devil then unleash hell".

could make a great social night when it hits the cinema ,everybody going to the the one cinema in full Airsoft loadouts:D :D

Haven't figured out how to hold the bb in place in the barrel while drawing, might stay itself, I dunno It's too late in the summer to try to make, so if someone has the time, the facilities and a donor gun for the hop-up, mag and mag reciever, be my guest.

thats what got me into Airsoft, was looking for a model/toy gun that looked like the scarface gun. (basically an m4 with a 203 on it)
was looking for it for a fancy dress holloween party and then started researching airsoft guns and jumped on in.
