I doubt it will drop by much if any but I would expect to see some on the used market.

If one came along at the right price I could be very tempted.

the new d3 uses non dx lenses. most people will still have dx lenses so probably won't upgrade to a d3 but may upgrade to a d300 instead. The d2xs will still hold it's value for some time to come.

The D3 can use a DX lens. It will go into DX mode at 5.1mp.

Avoid Nikon, unless you're a sadomasochist.

I'm not so sure about that ... I've had my 1D Mk III at the repair shop for 4 weeks now and counting ... and while Canon did get me a loaner 1D Mk II for the weekend ... it was only for the weekend ... and only after I kicked up a stink ... Canon Ireland don't give a rats arse about their customers ... thats Masochism for ya!

I was speaking to a few Nikon users and was told that Nikon will repair a pro body in two days ... and if there are any problems they will give a temporary replacement ... that's service!!

Speaking to the guys at Gunns I get the impression Nikon understand the importance of good customer service a hell of a lot better than their arrogant competitor in Canon ...
