Have done some airsofting before, with the basic , plastic, €10 in spain and the likes guns. but loved it!

My cousin got himself a steyr from speedytoys i think it was, and i'm now looking at getting equipped (prob for xmas as im flat broke....)

Read through the sticky for beginners and liked the look of the steyr on eirsoft.ie, the price is perfect and when i checked its statson another site it said it does 350fps. anyone any ideas on whether its worth it, good quality? anything? or what gun or where would be better value?

    thanks
    nlc

    BTW, double Post.

As far as i Know the JG Aug is very good. I have the Classic Army Aug which is Awsome and got a top-gun award from Airsoft Intenational. The CA doesnt come cheap though. I'd buy the JG. Ask Tony, he may not have any that arent pre-ordered!

Point to note about the Steyr on eirsoft, the picture shiva has up isnt of the JG. The steyr on eirsoft is the civilian version, its a different colour and doesn't have the sight on the top.

All the AEG's on Eirsoft are legal (at, or below 328fps). They are all decent AEG's, and Shiva is always available if you have any problems with them.

thanks, yeh just caught sight of another thread about the set-up of eirsoft, and thigns started clicking!!

**edit** are they all auto semi auto? that m4 is a thing of beauty, which would be the generally preffered?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,170 ✭✭✭✭ED E

    All have safe/semi/full auto.

The Aug has a dual action trigger. Pull it half way for semi. Pull full way for auto.

Yet another reason to loathe the AUG in all its lumpy lumpy horror :D

M4 has the standard M16 fireselect. Straight forward, no nonsense, no sneezing and wasting half your team by pulling too hard.

well obviously you have no trigger discipline so, if you keep doing a full pull instead of half :D

p90 has this feature also and i find it's quite handy, very rarely make us of it though
