    Here is a useful sticky with links from the Computers & Technology forum

    I'd say security software, such as AVG free, Comodo, Spybot S&D, LavaSoft AdAware, as well as VLC, OpenOffice, Firefox, Thunderbird, PDF Creator, CCleaner, Foxit PDF reader, Skype, TweakUI powertoy from Microsoft and I'm sure I'm forgetting something.
