I've been looking for a good sports club to join when starting NUI Galway in order to get back in shape after the exams and decided on doing something practical such as a martial art or boxing.Sadly NUI Galway doesn't have a boxing club listed so I was thinking of a martial art.

I was wondering do the clubs offer classes to beginners and want to find out if anyone has any experiences.

    Anything anyone can reccomend?

    Thanks

I can only point you off somewhere, I'm afraid. The clubs will be advertising their wares in Áras na Mac Léinn on Tuesday, September 18 and, if they're running such classes, will surely have flyers/posters with information. Hope that helps a bit.

http://www.nuigalwaytkd.com is the college Taekwondo club. Our beginners classes kicked off on MOnday night actually, and continue tonight at 7 in Hall 2 of the sports center, no hassle dropping by. Email me if you want any more info on info [at] MMALeague [dot] com
