Like it says, can anybody give me an opinion on this, really want to build a fixie, trying to get a frame to get me started. I can't see anything wrong with this but i'm suspicious cos of the lack of bids. Any decent frames i've been watchingseem to be going for at least $70/80 recently.
    Any help appreciated.

Oh yeh, and here's the link:

I would advise against it. The main reason being that the frame is cheap, heavy steel. You should look for a light steel frame, such as a Reynolds 531c or 653 or something like that.

If you're building a fixer I would always suggest buying a complete bike, cos the chances you can save a fair wad of cash by retaining some of the original components. In theory, buy an old but good quality racer and all you might need to change is the rear wheel and hub and maybe the chain. In reality, most people change a few other bits as well.

The other con is that this frame is in the US. Why not source one locally or from Ebay UK. Much cheaper.

Let us know how you get on. There have been a number of other threads about building fixies on this forum in the last while, so check them out too.

Lookin at Spartan frames at the mo "handmade in chile" apparently.Been having a look at other forums and the view of them seems fairly positive.
My mate's looking to build a fixie as well (he got me convinced), so we're trying to buy 2 frames together in an effort to save on shipping. Waiting for a final quote before we decide.
I'll put up some pics if we ever make some progress.
