    Hi,

have been using compressor to compress video for DVD. But not entirely happy with results. Has anyone tried Toast and can they recommend it?

    Cheers,

What doesn't impress you about it ?

I've used Toasts compress to fit feature a few times and found the results fine on normal DVD/TV setups. If you get rid of the menus and the extras you can usually get the main feature onto a single layer DVD with only 5 to 10 % loss in information. This figure depends on the length of the main feature time wise.

By this I mean Toast reports that it must compress the content by between 5 and 10 % - I have no way of measuring the results but to the naked eye they are as good as the original on domestic TV sets.
