Anybody got this? My friend explained it to me, I used to love RPGs like Baldurs Gate on the PC. Hows it play on the PS3? I'm pretty skint and have to prioritise my purchases....I have 3 fps games so I wouldn't mind a change.

Its an excellent game , totally and completely open ended , sure , there is a main quest , but you can take your time with this and just go exploring , its a vast world and you can do what you like.

I would highly recommend it if your bored of the "on rails" fps type game.

I spent pretty much the last month playing Oblivion. It's massive and it's open ended. If fantasy and RPGs are your thing this is the best that is out there. It is very different to your standard FPSs.

The graphics are superb, it's very atmospheric and there is more to do than you will ever get through. After a while it does get a small bit repetitive but some of the quests are excellent and they are several interesting side-plots.

Arguably it's the best game on the PS3 at the moment.

Hold on till the end of the month though, there's a game of the year edition coming out which will include all the add-ons.

I see that on the 360, don't see it on the Ps3, is there a PS3 GOTY edition?

Yeah it's out at the end of the month and (so far) will be the only way PS owners can play the Shivering Isles expansion pack.

I supose i'll just add a bit of contrast here. I bought oblivion for the 360, have a ps3 now though, but I absolutely hated it! I returned it after a day or two. But then again thats not really my kind of game! Sure it looked great but it didn't really do anything for me otherwise!

I thought I saw it in Game on dawson street. Wasn't looking for it but seem to recall for what its worth.
