You could do worse than head over to chain reaction cycles right now as they have plenty of shoes on sale, mostly MTB but plenty of road also and great discounts. Love that shop.

For flashy as hell you can't go past DMT Flash in silver or Sidi Genius 6.6 Carbon in white. Specialized Torch 07 in silver don't look too bad either and are pretty cheap.

Can't give any advice but cycleways have 30% off all shoes at the moment (mostly flashy and not cheap from what I saw).

Italian makes such as Sidi, Vittoria, etc are a wee tight for our Irish feet. I'd get a half or one size up from your normal shoe size if buying online. Shimano are supposed to be a broader, more comfortable shoe. I also hear that some Shimano shoes aren't that friendly to some non-shimano cleats. My vote is on Sidi for flashyness without looking like a cycling chav...

(Just thought I'd share my new nuggest of informantion: I learned the other week that the brand Spuik is pronounced "spook")

"Nochain"... is that username in reference to Lance's expression to motivate his team mates? Just curious....
