Mce Ir Blaster Issue

I have a problem my digibox is in 1 room and my media centre in another room and i want to control my digibox via my mce remote with the ir blaster but its obviously to short to go to the digibox i would need about 5 metre or so is there any workaround for this??

dont quote me on this,
but a standard mono headphone extension cable should do the trick.
