Just curous really to see how many tables and what levels you guys are playing?

    1) How many tables?
    2) Which network?
    3) How many hours?
    4) How long are your sessions?
    5) How the hell does anyone play 16+? ( or even 8 +)

I'm playing 200nl on 4 tables consistantly and up to 8 if I'm clued in but find it hard work and have to shorten the sessions if I'm playing 8...
I've also made mistakes playing 8 tables as well. called with a str8 not having seen a bigger str8 or something like that...

I see a regular player called Grindyoudown playing as many as 24 at times but he is always on 16
Anyone know him? how the hell does he do it? btw I have him at 14/8 over 5000 hands and showing a loss but I'm sure he is makng money.... (probably enough on bonuses)

had to move back down to 50nl after some drunken blackjack gone wrong

    4 tables
3-4 hour single sessions most days. play more on saturday/sunday afternoons.

playing 16 tables wouldn't even be poker imo

Grindyoudown is pretty bad. Super nit but prone to mega tilt. I play 6 tables at 2/4 atm but on stars I was playing 8 at 1/2nl when in australia, but that was just on my laptop. Fairly sure I could manage 10-12(though it would take a few weeks to adjust lol) if i had a better setup here and if ipoker had resizeable tables. My session lengths vary a lot, sometimes ill play for just an hour, the more tables the shorter my sessions generally. I would play a few hours 5-6 tabling and maybe 1-2 8 tabling.

6 tables of 6max plo on stars, with pahud. I'd 8 table if I could fit them properly on screen but I don't like the tables being too small or overlapping too much. Which is annoying cos I've a 21inch widescreen running at 1680x1050.

    Sessions rarely last over 90mins.

I play all the PLO tables 2 4 through 10 20 on iPoker, this is usually 3-5 tables. I'm trying to play NL at the moment with mixed results, so I usually add enough 1-2NL to bring it up to 6 or 7.

1/2 PLO and PLO HiLo 4 Tables max. Tried multitabling Omaha and Omaho HiLo at the same time once or twice...trainwreck. Fair play if you can make profit at that.

50/1 NLHE. 4 Tables.Worst results here. Want to get serious about it now though.

$55/$109 STT's on Party $60 MTT's and STT's on P'stars. $60 45player turbo is a serious cash-cow of late. Usually, start 1 every 10 mins to avoid playing too many shorthanded at 1 time.

Session lengths are as long as im able. I'm a degenerate and rarely end a poker sesion volintarily :)

Multi-tabling ---> multi-tilting (one of my many problems)

Playing on ipoker at 50NL, have had to drop down from 100NL before I decimate my bank roll. Usually only play 2 tables at 100NL but will be playing 3/4 at 50NL and see how it goes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,953 ✭✭✭dvdfan

Currently Play 5 100nl for usually no more than 2.5 hrs at a time on ipoker for approx 3-3.5hrs in total a day.

Used to play 30 hours a week or so averaging 9k-10k hands, although i found that the latter end of my sessions i was making alot of mistakes/losing buyins and playing tired because i was trying to squeeze extra hours in now i just play till i feel tired and take a break and probably average 20hrs a week. When i get my mew Dell 2407 monitor in a couple of weeks ill gradually increase my tables to 8.

Everytime ive increased tables from 1 to 2, 2 to 3 and so on ive found as Mac said ive struggled to keep up when adding the new table in the beginning but after a couple of days playing with less would just be boring so im sure its just a matter of getting used to it. I remember when i used to play 2 tables i taught how do people play 4 tables, id crack up now playing less than 4.

and I play until I'm unstuck.

4 usually, but sometimes drop to 1 or 2 if I can't find any good tables, sometimes go up to 6 if there's loads of good tables although the overlap is sickening. I've been waiting over a month for dell to send me a monitor which they said would take 1-2 weeks.

    Party Poker.

Usually 3-4 hour session but I've been playing a LOT less recently because of work. I'm usually tired and def not playing my A game so I try to leave it to the weekend usually but I still find I'm not playing my best. Hopefully when I go back to college I won't be so tired and I'll be able to put in more hours.

I went to Galway last weekend with my girlfriend and when I came back, nice and refreshed, I dropped down to 25nl because my confidence is fairly shot. In a 1200 hand session I made 15 buy-ins. I've played 2 other sessions since then after work and I'm down 3 buy-ins. The money is fairly insignificant compared to my bankroll, I'm just trying to find some form again.

large view is unplayable for me.
Max can you edit that post, put a link to the pic instead because it has made the thread strange.

I 3 table 50NL on stars, I can 4 table, but really any more than 4 tables and I just become super nitty and my head spins from all the clicking and the keeping track of what's happening.

I can do maybe 5-6 hours per session 3tabling, 4-5 hours 4 tabling, but my session length depends on how much time i've to spare.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,646 ✭✭✭cooker3

I sort of levelled off 4 tabling 50nl on stars although dropped down to 2 after losing 13 buyins and just trying to regain some form/confidence. I usually find at about 3 hours I have to stop because I just can't concentrate properly.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,666 ✭✭✭Imposter

I've been 3/4 tabling NL100 on iPoker for the last while (No turbo tables if i'm 4 tabling). I'm in the process of moving back to NL200 at the moment and I intend to 3-table at the start and after a bit i'll 4-table it.

On stars I could never manage more than 3 tables. IPoker is quite a lot slower (software and players).

Why not pokerplaya, you seemed to be doing quite well last year?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,754 ✭✭✭ianmc38

At the moment 4 tables of 6 max, 6 when im playing well. I dont like 6 though as i have to overlap on my laptop as I hate the small tables as they make me tilt and i cnat seem to adjust to them. Sessions are anywhere between 100 and 2k hands.

Just got this... seems v good if a bit expensive for what it is... it's advertised at 25 USD but I got it on my CC and it was billed at 28 euro when they added vat and a service charge of some sort....

doesn't change the size of the cards but makes them a lot clearer and better colours

Must be a free version out there if u just want to change the card images. i presume its just the all cards file. Perhaps u could copy and post yours :)

couldn't find a free version of it... needs a reg key to activate it... I'm sure someone handy at programming would be able to find some way of adjusting the images.... they are just saved a bitmaps... some lovely cards in it but i find only the bold ones work on miniview

have a look through these pages to have an idea what they look like

My first post. I used to be really concerned about not being able to multi table and persisted to try to master the art, but have found I get my best profit when I play just 1 table. Am currently playing 200nl on PP and building my roll at a fast pace. Anybody else find 1 table better? I tried to copy the multi tabelers and damaged my bottom line because of it, plenty profit to be had playing one table at 1/2nl.

Currently 4 tabling 6 max 20 NL on iPoker. Sessions vary according to fatigue levels. Dropped a table when I got HU on 2 tables with 2 85 vpip fish ;)

I have no idea how you can do that, if I am 4 tabling after 3 hours I almost feel dizzy and lightheaded (I'm not joking either)
