Saw this and thought it was hilarious. Notice how Ryanair fail to mention the distance and cost of getting from London city centre to Standsted and then from Charleroi Airport to Brussels city centre [46 kms]. It suggests Ryanair targets not the brightest of consumers. [I acknowledge there are circumstances in which you can benefit greatly from flying Ryanair, this is not one of them].

FR can throw as much crap around as they want the fact is that the accelerated Eurostar services are going to have a serious effect on the profitability of all London-Paris/Brussles flights.

Funny how they don't mention the minimum check-in times and lengthy security queues.

If Eurostar weren't so bloody French they would change their fare structure to offer cheap singles instead of returns and more agressively discount off-peak services with FR style "giveaways" to cut the wings completely off the low-fares airlines.

It's generally reckoned that for distances less than 500 km, high speed train is far faster than flying, due to the station being generally closer to everyone than the airport, the lack of requirement to be there 1 hour+ early, and no security queues.

this appears to be part of Ryanair's plans to become the most unpopuar company in Europe.

Since when could youfly from London to Brussels for £15, the tax alone is more than that, before you pay for your taxi/train to Stanstead. As for their Paris airport, it's 70 miles from Paris:rolleyes:

In fact, this may be the worst advert ever - in attempting to show how cheap the flight is, they've just highlighted how cheap the train would be! I thought the Eurostar would be way more than £27. Even on entry door of station to exit door of station, the train would be faster than door of airport to door of airport. Who cares how long you spend in the air?
