I got one of the pin flags from the Ryder Cup in the KClub. It is not a replica i was wondering if it would have any real value .It is not signed or anything .I was going to put it in a frame and hang it on the wall .I looked on the internet and there does seem to be a market for pin flags but they all seem to be replicas.Anybody have an idea on the value of this item?

Why on earth would you want to sell something like this? If you were close to the bread line, I think I could understand. Keep it and frame it as you've said.

As a matter of interest, what hole number is it?

No real value at all I would imagine - have you got it validated? By that I mean has Ryder Cup Limited given you proof that it came from the K-Club?

I'm guessing there were a lot of these flags made - to ensure there were enough for a weeks play - so it's probably worth very little.

Stick it up on adverts and I'll make you an offer.

Jeez mate, don't be selling it. That's something you'd want to be keeping a hold of.

If you do decide to cash in then certainly don't be sticking it just on adverts... the americans would be loving that kinda stuff (even though they lost!).

Nevermind slumped's usual negativity... sounds like you have a nice little bit of memorabilia on your hands there!

No idea of its value but if you are considering selling it, i'd suggest you go to a decent european tour event and try to get some of the european players to autograph it.... particularly if it was a special hole, like just casey if it's 14, clarke if 16 etc

I might be wrong, but I didnt think Ryder Cup flags were numbered.

They were not numbered .There was only 24 made .Getting it authenticated would mean giving the persons name who gave it to me so i don't know if i could do this.

I don't know wether i would sell it or not,I found it in a drawer after a year of it sitting there.I heard from someone that they could be worth alot ,but i dont know how reliable this information is .

it's worth very little if not authenticated, could be worth a bit if it was.

    Andy,

It's not worth a penny mate, I have a lovely R540 3 wood in the back of my car the last while, give me €50 along with the flag and it's yours :D;)

You'll have to come to me though :p

No seriously, if you're not too interested in hanging onto it would you consider giving it to a worthy charity to auction at a corporate golf day or something?
If it could be verified as the real deal you could earn a nice few bob for a charity close to your heart?

    Just a suggestion.....
