    Just checking out their press release and they have some interesting shows coming along:

    The Tudors
    Swingtown
    The Sarah Connor Chronicles

    The Tudors starts tonight, but I don't know about airdates for Swingtown or the Sarah Connor Chronicles. They're not due to be broadcast for several months in the US, so it'd be a major coup if TV3 start showing them first.

    Also, TV3 have got the terrestrial rights to NFL American Football coverage - they'll be showing the Superbowl live, but no word on whether they'll do a highlights package of conference or playoff games.

    Most interested in this... I sent them an email a few weeks ago when i heard that there was Irish terrestrial rights available and nobody had them... Heard back quickly enough that they were looking into it...


    heard this today, sent another email asking to clarify what the exact coverage will be, so we'll wait and see what they say..

    I thought that ITV's playoff highlights program fronted by Gary Imlach was pretty good... if we even got something like that for the conference games I'd be happy.

    That's interesting, hopefully they will show more than the Superbowl.

    (a) I watched the first episode of the Tudors last night. It started well but then I thought it lost a bit of steam near the end. It looks fabulous though, great (and attractive) cast, and a lot of Irish actors and actresses popping up as foreigners for some reason...

    (b) According to the TV3 media department both Swingtown and the Sarah Connor Chronicles will air early in the new year

    (c) TV3 are still finalising their plans for NFL broadcasts and haven't made any decisions yet on what they'll air
