This evening, I offered my old almost 4 year old G4 1 Ghz 12" Powerbook to my friend for a loan. While I wrote about her on this forum recently, I'm curious to know how old is the oldest Mac used by one of use on here.

    Pretty simple, eh?:)

I have a working Performa 630 (my first Mac, 1994-ish, 66MHz processor w/33MHz bus) on System 7.5.3 and 20Mb of RAM

My father in law has a Mac Color Classic (1993, 16MHz processor) on System 7.1 and maxed out at 8Mb of RAM

Both are "retired", but work fine, and can still print to his Apple Laserwriter 200 Printer.

An old Mac Classic sits as an 'ornament' on a shelf high up in my living room. Not exactly in service but it boots up to a nice simple system 6!
Got it from the dumped computers garage at the North Strand recycling center. The rather irritated corporation workers reaction - "you're s'posed to be leavin stuff here not takin it away" was cured by a ten euro note!
And off I went to play Tetris!

My uncle has a mac similar looking to the one on the top left of the macdomain site and he teaches his kids how to type on it.

It dates back to when he was in college and thats going back pre 94. Must see if I can get a model number off him

That would be an Apple Macintosh ('84-?)
