Ok, ill start by saying the internet is down on the computer im writing this with. Basically, i can access boards.ie and a few other sites (very few) but 99% of sites time out. It has been like this on and off all weekend and seemed ok today until about 30 mins ago and boom, same again. Anyone got any idea what could be causing this.

Btw, im with IOL for broadband and have 2 computers here with a wireless router. Both computers have the same problem.

    Cheers,
    Dec.

Check all of your security and privacy settings first of all.

If that is ok then open up task manager(right click on taskbar/ctrl+alt+del) and click on the networking tab. Now try a web site, if the chart shows a change in band usage(peak on green) but the website does not work its most likely a computer based problem, contact manufacturer, or contact iol if no change is shown, reply if you have any trouble.:)

    Good luck!

It seems that it was a setting alright. The Auto Detect Settings option became unticked somehow for the IOL connection. Ticked it anyway and seems to be ok (for now). Hopefully it has sorted it fully. Thanks for the reply ;)
