What did you think of it?

I thought Marco was just toooo nice and kind really - not nearly as tough as Gordon.

Do you think that is his real name? It sounds a bit fake:D

yea completely agree, its not going to make good tv......

I'll stay tuned for now to see what happens. Marco doesnt seem to have the charisma of Gordon, but its only one show in so who knows. I hope it goes well as I like Hells Kitchen but why did they bother with those has-beens and never-weres. It'd be a better show with members of the public as I don't think he's gonna be balling out his mates on tv.

Yeah they completely helped them out. Though the other chefs did say they wont do as much next day.

    I prefer the American version.

Jumping back to Angus Deayton every 2 minutes for unfunny comments is going to get boring real fast.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 355 ✭✭purplegeko

I really liked it. He is the complete opposite to Gordon who is completely in your face.
He helped them the first night but i think tonight will be different. Plus he's not afraid to throw out the customers he doesn't like so it will make good tv. It may just be a slow burner.

I reckon he will get tougher with them.
I Think he acknowledged the fact that it was the first night etc., if the stories about him are true I reckon they are in for a tough time.
After all he did drive Ramsay to tears when Ramsay was his sous chef....

I watched the American version, I enjoyed it because Ramsey makes good tv, but it was so americanised, it was more like big brother, so much over production and ugh.

Hell's Kitchen on ITV? With comments from Angus Deyton? I think I will pass. I love the US version though.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 999 ✭✭✭Noelie

I think having Deyton in it is ruining the flow of the show. It'd much better without him.
I had the TV on this morning when i was getting ready for work and some early morning ITV chat show was on and the were saying how great Deyton was. I think they must have been watching a different show to me.

MPW impressed me early on, but soon the "celebs" discovered that if you kiss his ass, he goes a lot easier on you. Gordon would never allow it!

Got to say Im enjoying it, I like Marco, prefer him to Ramsay. I like his philosophy and outlook on stuff.

I like that he's earning respect from the celebs, they want to please him now, and thats important. Now he can go mental on their ass, I hope. He's looking angry tonight anyways :D

I'm really enjoying it. I like Marco and I think he's scary! Wouldn't like to get on his wrong side.
I also like Angus (probably the only one though):D

How big an ass is Jim Davidson

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,660 ✭✭✭magnumlady

Jim is just an awful bloke, I don't like him at all. Hope he gets voted out soon.

Absolutely agree, what a f***ing Homophobic bigot he is!
He so vile! Reality tv isn't working for him at all it is just bringing him out to show exactly what he really is.He admits one night he is homophobic and then says the next he isn't he needs to make up his mind! And stop bullying Brian and p***off back to dubi or where ever he is living.

Can you tell i don't like him one bit guys:p

    Brian to win:D

Davidson is scum of the earth. Poor Brian.

What is going on with Jim and Marco though. Jim was going to leave, everyone was delighted and then Marco sweet talks him and he decides to stay.
I'm just hoping Brian doesn't leave because I think he will win.

Do you remember at the start of the show, Marco asked them all why they were there?

Jim Davidson said 'I am here becaue I couldn't buy a better cooking lesson for a million quid' - Marco nearly blew his load on the spot, and has been licking Jims hole ever since.

Barry McGuigan is right, eventually they (marco and jim) will fall out big style, jim will probably tell Marco how to cook or something and that will be that.

Jim and Brain in the final, Brian to win!!!!!!!!!!

I can't stand the new chef, he is too much of a wuss, then again I am a big Ramsey fan and would watch him in anything. I agree that Brian is being bullied and that Davidson should leave.

The relationship between MPW and Davidson makes for the creepiest tv I've seen in ages.
JD is such a plank, see him getting the sargent stripes markered onto him last night? What an a*shole. And MPW thinks he has "the heart of a lion". WTF.
If MPW really needs to get back in the public eye, for whatever reason, he's made a big mistake getting all matey with this f*cker. Its not because hes un-pc, its because hes a stupid, ignorant and boring. But I reckon MPW is just doing this for the sake of it so it doesn't really matter to him

I did read the book, I actually met Ramsey who was very nice and hilarious. I still think that Marco is too soft.

Ah right sorry, the fact that you called Marco the new chef made it look like you didn't know who he was LOL - sorry.

He is too soft now, I think he's broken. He was a devil in his day. Even Jean Cristophe Novelli is more bad tempered. I am disappointed, was expecting massive fights.

Have to say its so uncomfortable to watch Jim suck up to Marco. Jim has to be the next to go. Felt a bit sorry for Brian when he was crying in the diary room, Jim seems to have the ability to isolate and offend people without even caring. Yes i know hes a different generation and not pc and all that but hes just behaving like a t**t.

i actually quite like marco. he's tough but very fair, and the contestants seem to genuinely want to do their best for him..

also i quite like angus, the missus cant stand him though

They seem to be acting like two middle aged bullys both of them.Jim should have gone.Im very sure Brian is mentally stronger and has had to put up with thease homophobic comments sadly before and is mentally stronger than jim through that.Brian needs his fans more than ever now to help him! Brian is blatantly been bullied in there for no other reason than his sexuality i would call that racism in my book:rolleyes: Lets all show Brian our support by voting for him on-0901 61 61 002.

    Brian to win :D

Yes i agree it was really heartbreaking to see Brian like that.He has gone on the show not to be treated like that but to be treated with dignity and respect of which he is not getting at all.Iam very suprised ITV have not done anything about this .

I can't stand that creepy Marco with his creepy vacant stares. Bring back Gordon Ramsay.

Work colleagues from a previous job did voluntary work for one of the big tv charity programmes, it could have been red nose day and had to work with Jim Davidson. They were absolutely disgusted and upset at how obnoxious he was to them. He insulted all around him.

I think he realises that Brian was a very popular winner of Big Brother and fears that his popularity will lead to Brian winning so Jim is probably singling him out and bullying him hoping that he can orcastrate Brian getting very upset and leaving.

I also think ITV are hoping that Jim bullying Brian will be a bit like Jade Goody at Shilpa Shetty and that they'll get similar publicity for the show.

I agree with the previous poster that Brian is probably mentally stronger than Jim and that his experience of Big Brother should stand to him.

    Brian to win :D:D:D
