Can anyone remember an X-Files film made in the early to mid nineties which featured native American mythology and references to the UFO desert crash which was covered up by the American government?

    Any replies would be appreciated.

when you say film do you mean the x-files movie or a 2 part episode?

I remember they had a midnight opening in town to launch the video in the shops and Agent Krycek was there.

I remember they had a midnight opening in town to launch the video in the shops and Agent Krycek was there.
I went there early to get his signature and didn't see the queue. I wandered around town for a bit and then, only then, found the queue. As a result I missed out on a signature (despite being told I was in the section that would get to meet the actors). Oh sad days.

The "film" you're referring to was spread over three episodes bridging S2 and S3.

Loved that one where the guy somehow swaps Mulders body with his own, and then hits on Scully. Played with glee by Duchovny.

Got the complete box set for Christmas last year and worked my way through the first four seasons in a little over two months. Since then I've only managed to watch seasons 5-7 and am only just starting season 8.

Duchovney was discussing the propoesed second X-Files film and if the rumours are to be believed it appears that it may not be too far off.

Seems someone was using my account at work and made a number of posts under my username. Apologies for that, hopefully it won't happen again.

    We've a teaser poster http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2038/2366679661_ba663a5c99_o.jpg

Trailer is up though word is that it's going to be officially bundled with Iron Man in May so we're stuck with footage recorded on phones for the moment.

The official site www.xfiles.com is apparently under construction and is defaulting to the Fox movies website but someone managed to grab this, not really much on it so far. http://xab.xanga.com/a62c525b35530181010763/b138388493.png

The title hasn't been realised as of yet - Chris Carter said: "I can't tell you," he said. "I know what I want it to be, but Fox has some ideas of their own."

I hope Fox don't have too much creative control.

The synopsis isn't really anything we don't already know:

In grand “X-Files” manner, the as yet untitled film’s storyline is being kept under wraps. This much can be revealed: It is a stand-alone story in the tradition of some of the show’s most acclaimed and beloved episodes, and takes the complicated relationship between Fox Mulder (Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Anderson) in unexpected directions. Mulder continues his unshakable quest for the truth, and Scully, the passionate, ferociously intelligent physician, remains inextricably tied to Mulder’s pursuits.

    :)
