This may be similiar to what is in the other thread ,but i just want to know if anybody has used anti fog solution for their goggles. Everytime i buy goggle they only last about a month before they begin to fog up. Can anybody recommend anti fog solution and where can you get it - i looked in a few sports shops and cant see it.

Also , can anybody recommend a shower gel or some lotion to help to remove the smell of chlorine from your body after swimming. I used to like swimming in the morning but the chlorine still remains for the rest of the day.

Don't bother buying antifog, just spit in them and rub it around, then wash them out with water.

As for the chlorine smell, nope-always seem to stink of it afterwards regardless of the showergel i use.

i got mine here, works fine, can't help with the chlorine issue, maybe you could use a pool that's not overdosed with the stuff.

You can buy chorine shower gels, a good sports shop would have it, or try pools that have equipment shops

have you ever tried just rubbing a very small amount of washing-up liquid on the goggles before using them? never tried the spit technique nor have I bought anti-fogging, so not sure how it works in comparison.

bit of toothpaste on the goggles should sort them out. and spitting in them before each use.

Ive never noticed the chlorine smell, but I know someone who always uses a special shower gel/shampoo because it annoys him. Dunno where he gets it from, but theres def one out there.

Hough, thew, rinse, repeat for inside of left goggle lens. it'll stay good for 45 mins- 1 hour, works on plastic, glass, perspex, try to avoid total loogie's though, they skank up the pool, saliva's enough

For some reason I find that smell kind of comforting (I spent way too many hours in the pool growing up). Have you tried using moisturizers after you have dried off? as well as the Shower gell I mean.

    mmmmm baby oil.

Not since I grew hair, It just gets all matted.

fcuked If I'm shavin or waxin just so I can lube up after swimming:D

Try using Head & Shoulders, The Menthol stuff, It is kind of soothing to the skin as well as being so scaldy stink that you smell like a lozenge instead of disinfectant. Its substantially better, But having a COLD shower rinse after the normal one, or before it can help close up the pores that retain the chlorine smell.... If you've long hair, thats the culprit, use a silicon swim cap, and put conditioner in your hair before swimming. Many birds that I work with have spent hour rabbiting on about how well that works, and they are/were competitive swimmers, And of course herbal essences for that enviably good wash afterwards

Amphibian King have anti-fog and a full range of swimming gear.

I find treating the goggles once in a while with the anti-fog works well. For the rest of the time a bit of spit and a rince works well.

Get in the habit of rinsing the goggles with fresh water and shake dry to remove any chlorine or sea salts will stop you from scratching the lens too.

Bit of a bump... but I got antifog solution (aquasphere) from wiggle a while ago. I use it now and again, not every time I swim. I needed it more for ow during the summer, and for races, but it wasnt foolproof, the lenses would still fog up it just took longer for them to get bad.

For pool swims the auld spit and rinse works grand.
