Boil the kettle without any water in it.

It would probably blow up, and you'd have to pick the bits of metal out of your face, and you'd be left with big red blotches all over your face....

    Edit: great minds ruu :p

Put washing up liquid in the kettle. It's hilarious. Daz in the toilet cistern isn't nearly as fun though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,178 ✭✭✭Irish Wolf

Put some Alka Seltzer and bicarbonate soda into you washing machine and switch it on...

I saw Clarkson doing it once - but I need proper evidence that works.. :)

I've done that before too. You get very weak tea, but not so weak that it's undrinkable. Mine came out tasting slightly of fish for some reason.

How many times would I have to boil a 1.5lt kettle before it was completely empty? As in steam, not pouring it out.

Dream (or plan) acts of terrorism. I'm starting small, bridges. If you blow it up upwards, as in put the explosives underneath and direct the blast upwards, it'll crumble because they're made to take weight on top so the underneath isn't all reinforced. Or something. That's what i was told by an engineer.
I think i'll move onto cities, the soundest way to take over one, followed by the most fun way of destroying one.

Or alternatively, tidy something. I decided to tidy up the house a bit, and i found a bag of weed down the side of my bed. It's been an excellent day.

I dunno what type of coffee maker you have, but if its an espresso machine of some description, you'll blow the seals using fizzy water. Thats why they say dont do it in the manual.

I'll save ye all a bit of time. If you replace water in a coffee maker with milk, and coffee with hot chocolate, you're on a winner right? Not so fast buddy. All you'll get is a melted coffee maker, and a smell of burnt plastic that will linger long in the memory years after it's finally disappeared from your room. Plus, your mam will shout at you.

Yeah, good point. I didn't actually do it, though I claimed to have done earlier. Really I just wanted to make people feel as if it was safe to do so, and find out what happened when they tried it.

while we're on the topic of putting normal **** into normal appliances (but which are not meant to go there) apart from the really cool 'lightning' effects, does putting a cd into a microwave have any other effect, good or bad?

If it's an enya CD, it vastly improves the quality...

If you put grapes in, they fire off little balls of what scientists think is plasma, but no-one knows exactly why.

Screw cd's, anyone who wants to: put a small bit of petrol (or some flammable fluid) in a balloon, blow it up and tape a teaspoon to the balloon. Put in microwave, turn on and run.

Turns out i actually watched brainiac, huh.
