    Hi Folks,
Going to SA with better looking half end of November. We were thinking of doing a few days in Cape Town and then travelling down Garden Route and flying from Port Elizabeth back to Cape Town. We were thinking of doing a day or two safari along the way.
    Anybody any good tips?
    Thanks

The garden route is gorgeous. Definately spend some time at Plettenberg Bay , also Knysna - stay there for a nght or two and use it for a base if you like while there you can go for a walk in one of the many forrest walking trails there, or enjoy seafood restaurants. And visit Nature Valley and Storms river - the highest river gorge. You can bunjie there if you are so inclined.

If you are driving on your own take the necessary precautions - always have your door locked. Never leave a handbag, wallet, cellphone or other bag in view to prevent smash and grab. Keep a lookout when stopping at traffic lights for any suspicious activity (hijaking prevalent). Never stop for anyone or anything, it could be a set-up. If hiring a car, choose something average and not too fancy... hope this hasn't put you off - otherwise enjoy!

No Garden route advice I'm afraid, but re cape town, do this...http://www.hueyclub.co.za/pages/tours.php, the combat mission, was around 90 euro for about 20mins, cape town is a great place all round, but this was my highlight... Ronan Keating has done it too aparently! They have a pic of him in the office down on V&A waterfront..
Robben island trip is good too, your tour guide will be a former inmate..
There's a very good market at greenmarket square for authentic african souveniers, just off long street (Don't give money to the beggars we were warned)
Diamonds are cheap if you're thinking of buying btw :)
