I have been getting the "No satellite signal is been received" on my tv. I was baffled as this was only happening during the daytime. Last week while driving up my road I saw a jackdaw sitting on my dish! turn on telly and I am looking at the blue screen of death so I go out and have a look up at the dish and there are two bloody jackdaw's sitting on the arm I presume they are blocking the lnb, I clap my hands and shout at them to fly away, the neighbours think I have gone mad!
    Any solutions?

A friend of mine who I've know for years had the same problem, I took his old dish down as it was a bit shabby and places it on the front of his chimney instead of the side as he didn't want it on the front of the house to no avail.

By keeping an eye on the house I noticed a lot of birds coming in and out of his chimney so we got those crows nests to block access to his chimney and place some oil around the bar holding the LNB to the dish and I haven't heard from him since so Im hoping it has solved his solution..

Where is your dish located and is there a crows nest on your chimney if its located on the chimney brest???

Imagining spikes on the arm like they have on window sills abroad but then u might get an impaled bird permanently blocking reception!!!

Yeah my dish in on the chimney breast but I dont think there's a nest up there. I think the brats must be sunbathing!

put those clear plastic spikes on the arm of the lnb that they put on buildings to keep birds off, or get that netting that you wrap berry bushes with and wrap the dish.
