Check out this thread i found on bogginzine. I know its in the UK, but this type of thing may/will start happening here if we dont keep on top of councils.
Take the new unopened park in Monkstown. They are considering having different times for different levels(begineer/intermediate/advanced) of skateboarder! Family times etc!

I was in greystones a few weeks ago and some skate boarder (about 19 - 20) threw some kids skateboard (kid was maybe 13) over the fence. I only saw the end of this (my girlfriend sliding the board under the fence to give it back to the kid). Anyway according to my friend and my girlfriend the older dude was pushing the kid around.

Not only is the skateboard a big man and really tough and all, he also pretty much assaulted a kid.

I dont know what happened since I stopped skating but wow there's a lot of age bullying in skate parks.

    Peace

probably getting in his way or something(no need for the deck throwing) but its really annoying, we just got our skatepark and theres lots of little kids getting in the way.. its very frustrating

WOW FiannaGym.com, thats just way out of order. People really need to chill out in the parks. When i started skating 17 years ago we had nothing.
Also some kids these days think THEY own the parks..instead of it being for everyone!
Bottom line is if any of us see this type of behaviour we need to have a quiet word with all parties!
