Sorry mods - if this is not the correct area - please feel free to move.

I'm posting on behalf of mother. She is in her early 50's and in the last couple of months has begun to experience cronic neck and back problems. It is mainly late at night/in the evening that the pain is at its worse and it often results in her not being able to sleep. She appears to be in terrible pain most evenings and it is really affecting her happiness and moods. She has gone to doctors and has undergone acupuncture and different types of physio....but with very limited results..or just temporary relief. I know that back/neck complaints can be quite complex but i was wondering if anybody here would have any advice/ideas as I would love to help her.

    Thank you

For about a year I had a back problem and it got progressivesly worse to the point that it was affecting my sleep and my day to day living.

Eventually I went to a Chiropractor. After the first session there was a noticable improvement and after several months of weekly visits @ €38 a go I returned to normal. My only regret is that I didin't visit him sooner.

I'm not saying its the solution to everyone's back problems and I realise that each problem is different but for me it worked and I would certainly reccomend giving it a try. If you want the guys number just give me a shout.

Seek out a chiropractor in your area by recommendation first and ask if they have an xray facility and EMG equipment.

Make sure they are qualified and are a member of the Chiropractic Association of Ireland www.chiropractic.ie

Thanks - yes she has been to a couple of chiropractors but they have done nothing for her and can't seem to figure out what the problem is.
