I've never printed any thing i've made in photoshop.

But a friends band want me to make some posters for him, and can remember which settings to use LAB or cymk?

    Thanks in advance!

CMYK for print - and you'll need to make sure the resolution is at least 300dpi

    When you are creating a new image ... you'll see .. Width ... Height ... Resolution ... change it from the default 72 .. ? .. to 300 :) pixels / inch

hi, is there ever any point to going over 300dpi?? I ask because I read that the human eye can not distingush over 300dpi, so 400 would look the same as 900 wouldn't it? (I should have really tested this before asking:rolleyes: )

I worked in an image licensing company and we used 300dpi RGB for photographs to be sent to magazines, 200dpi for newspapers.

As eamon234 said, 300dpi is a decent starting point. I would recommend 600dpi and you will be grand.
