question for Setanta subbers

    hi i am considering subscribing to setanta sports. trouble is when i go to the site they prompt for a viewing card number. i only have a uk fta card which surely wouldnt be valid here in ire. would an irish card that the subscription is up on do??

    Yes the Irish card will work, you do not need to have a active Irish Sky subscription to avail of Setanta Sports.

    Lads,

    I only have a UK FTV (yellow house) card. No Irish Sub or Card.
    Is it possible to subscribe to Setanta with this?

    i tried last nite and it didnt work but a yellow house irish version would do. obviously setanta can track the card location by the number

    A UK card would get you the UK version with the blocked Saturday 3pm football.

    Can any of the Setanta subscribers on Sky Digital only tell me how much they are actually paying?

    I wanted to sub last weekend but was told there is a €10 registration fee.And if I decide to cancel after 2 months and re-sub again 2 months later I will be charged the €10 registration fee again.

    All I can find on the website is €18 a month. No mention of any extras.

    as far as i know, you pay the tenner as a one off fee whenever you want to activate, otherwise the only recurring charge is the 18 euros a month.. eg if you activated in august for soccer, you would pay 10 euro and 18 per month... if you cancelled in may when soccer is over and then activated again next august you would have to pay a tenner for that along with the 18 euro per month. i think you also have to give 30 days notice as to when you want to unsubscribe ( you are not held to a yearly contract though)
