PC very slow

    hi,
    all of a sudden my pc has gone very slow, boots up grand, the when i go to click some thing there a real long delay, have to leave it turned on for around an hour to get any proper responce out of it, if i go to shut down, the shut down or restart button isnt there in the start menu,

    i try'd using system restore, but when i pick a date and click next it doesnt respond,

    any body any ideas? its very hard to try locate the problem because of it not responding,,

    If it's windoze then boot into safe mode and run anti-virus & spyware. Might be a virus, or possibly even hardware probs.

    press ctrl alt and delete to see what processes are running.there is sometimes a problem with process svhost.exe using alot of processor power.

    i ran a virus checker and none showed up,,

    tryed ctrl alt delete and it says "task manager has been disabled by your administrater"



    think i need to bing it to a repair shop??

    Jesus, dont waste your money man. Just reinstall windows. After backing up all your data. And make yourself the administrator too.

    try'd the ccleaner, still no look,

    i dont have an xp disc, may try get one of a friend,
    i am the admin, but dont no why it is saying that

    in safe mode did system restore, it did it all grand but wen it rebooted said cant restore to this point, iv tryd a few points and same story,

    id say that cud help me alot, but when i go to "start" it doesnt display the "run"????
