PS3 & connections to TV

I've been thinking about getting a PS3 so I was wondering how it connects up to a tv. I heard you need a certain number of ports on the TV (a HDTV which I don't have) for it to hook up properly. My main question is, can I connect it to an ordinary TV in the mean time before I get a HDTV.
    Oh the mental anguish:confused:
    Any help appreciated, cheers

You certainly can. You can connect it to a standard tv via either a scart or component cables. Connect it the very same way you would a ps2.

On a side note, I'd really rcommend you get a hdtv for it asap. It does still look good on a standard tv but you'll see the real jump in quality when you connect it to hd.

    Hope that helps.

It comes with a euro AV scart cable which will work on any tv. You can also use a component cable. Best picture comes from an hdmi cable plugged into a decent hdtv. Thats where you'll see a real improvement in picture quality. Start saving:D
