MCE Keyboard / RC & Sky Magic Eye

Hi All,

Very quick question, if I put my mce box in room A, can I use my sky magic eye along with my Microsoft mce remote to control the box from room B. I know I would need an IR emitter for the MCE box, but has anyone done this and had success / comments that they would like to share?

Tried this , and no , unfortunately it does not work , the sky magic eye , uses a co ax rf cable going into the back of the sky box to control the sky box , this will not work in any way with an MCE box.

you can get IR extenders that will let you control the MCE box from another room , and use the extenders that came with the MCE remote to control the sky box , so there is a solution , but its not the " Magic eye"

the ir "blaster" that comes with the mce remote is about 3 metres long so depending on the location that may cover you.
if not, you can extend the wire using mono heaqdphone extension leads afaik
