Hi guys, I have a dilemma. I live in Auckland new Zealand and really want to see the All Ireland Final match in both categories. Is there anyway you can think of that this can be done. RTE is blocked in other countries for streaming and My local pub cant afford Setanta as its $1000 for one match. Being under the world I'm not sure about satellite too. PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

there is a way to make your computer appear as tho it is logging in from Ireland and allowing you to watch it on RTE.ie but i cant remember how, its on one of the older threads here from when someone wanted to watch it in America i think. If you dig through the threads you should find it

Here ya go, i dug it out for you. Instructions below:
To use a free proxy is simple, only 1 browser setting needs to be adjusted.

For FireFox users go to (Tools > Options > General > Connection Settings) and select "Manual Proxy Configuration", and enter in an IP and Port from the free proxy list into the text boxes.

For Internet Explorer users go to (Tools > Internet Options > Connections > Lan), select "use proxy server" and enter in an IP and Port from the free proxy list.

By the way you may also find that you have to tweak your real player settings. That probably is the probem, Ted.

You can go the legal route and order the game on Setanta Broadband, http://play.www.setanta.servecast.net/setanta/gaa/
US$20, available anywhere in the world

Or try the RTE links that are available but I won't post here

It's not available in NZ, and I've been told that the Irish bars don't have it because Setanta don't provide a signal to NZ anymore

Hi, I really want to see the All Ireland especially the minor game - I read the replies. Are you going to use this proxy to access it on RTE.ie. Have you tried it yet? Shame we can't get Satanta here.

    Hi there,

I live in Auckland and my local shows the games at around 6 - 6.30 on the monday evening. I am also heavily involved in running a team and playing gaelic games here in Auckland, so if any of you are keen, men and ladies then give me a yell on 021 404 575 or email me on "barry@absolutecarpentry.co.nz".
Look forward to hearing from you all.

Hey, I'm living in Auckland at the moment. think I'll pay the US$20 and just get the game that way. What's the name of the pub that shows the games on Mon evening - will it show the minors as well???

    Hi Caro,

The pub is The Clare Inn, it's on Dominion Rd, Mt Eden. Iv'e since been informed that the All Ireland senior final is being shown live at the "Some Place Else" on K' Rd. Its part of the Langham Hotel and it's free entry. Throw up 2.30 am.
    Do you play yourself?
