Hop up causing AEG to jam

My AEG is firing perfectly fine when the hop up is off. But even when it's put on slightly, it runs into issues. The odd time it'll work but mostly it wont fire anything.

I know they can jam a gun if you put them to their highest setting but this is rediculous. As a result, I'm not getting the range I want.

    Any ideas..?

Yeah phone NOIP and drag him back from Sligo :p

Alternatively, dont buy a King Arms.

    (sorry I'm irritable)

Yes, King Arms are known for their crappy AEGs

It's shooting the joule so the range isn't TOO bad with the hop off. Still though, would be nice to have that bit of extra distance. I may have to do some surgery.

methinks youll have to open her up and have a gawk inside the hop unit. Be careful in their ;)

You might need a softer hopup rubber (not the bucking just a small peice of rubber in the unit). The ones that come with gaurder buckings are good.

Try excel BB's or some other small diameter ones

its either barrel diameter or bb size or too tough hopup

try cleaning and oiling everything first
dont oil the inside of the hopup too much as it will cancel its effect.

Your supposed to oil the whole hop and then fire around 200 rounds through it and it gets back to normal...just so you know.

It may be possible that the rubber ring on top of the bucking has moved out ouf place, ie not under the arm, and thus the plastic arm is either not pushing down enough or then just catching the bbs. Easy to check.
