Passwords to government mail accounts publicised

Log-in credentials to 100 e-mail mailboxes of international government institutions have been published on the Internet. A blog entry written under the pseudonym DEranged contains names of institutions, POP3 server IP addresses, user names and passwords. The subjects of the list are primarily embassies and consulates.

According to the author of the message, he is using this drastic measure to force those responsible to secure access as soon as possible. His comments contain insinuations suggesting the access data has already been known for a longer time. No details are given about their origin, though. On the "about" page of the blog, a Swede, Dan Egerstad is listed as the responsible blog owner.
