I have an Infocus IN72 projector connected to my Sky box using composite video cable and running audio through my surround sound amp. Problem is the audio is slightly out of synch with the picture - maybe a quarter of a second. Is there any obvious cause of this? I will have to return the projector if I can't find a solution.

Is it in sync when viewing through the TV? I presume it is. I'm just wondering, and trying to eliminate, the Sky box. What about other sources?

its not really a fault just a delay in processing picture or sound.
To figure out what it is, if the audio is behind the picture, its the surround sound amp. If the picture is behind the audio its caused by the projector.
Some amps have the ability to correct this, have a look at the instructions for the amp.

it could be a disc too - NTSC to PAL conversion does that sometimes.

Good news I got this sorted out. The surround sound amp was the cause alright. There was a delay coming through the rear speakers. I switched around the leads to feed the audio through the front speakers only and happy days! Thanks for the advice
