Sourcing an Octavia Gearbox

    Hello All,
    Anyone know the best place to source a gearbox for a Skoda Octavia (1.9TDI Mk1). Are they the same gearbox used on all Mk1 models? I will start ringing around some breakers but are there companies that specialise in refurbished boxes? Ebay doesnt show up much ... Cheers!

    Traynors would be your best bet, i got a second hand steering rack from them for 280 and it was down the next day. Skoda were looking for 800 yoyos :confused:

    Golf, Bora, Leon and Toledo would probably share the same box? Maybe even Passat & A4.

    Might widen the search.

    Duffys on the long mile road are breaking a MK1 octavia at the minute. I am not sure what engine it has.
