From the Thomas Truax gig in Cork late last month.

All pics taken with a Pentax K100D, manual focus 50mm lens. All ISO 1600, f2, aside from the blurry one. That was ISO 800 & f4 from what I remember.

Criticism welcomed with open arms :)

Truax's Myspace is well worth a look as he's a fantastic, innovative musician - link

Last one is best. His act is a novelty which kinda gets boring after you've seen it more than once though. Nice guy.

Thanks for all the feedback guys.
The motion blur shot was something I did for variety. Wish I'd taken a few more as it came out ok I reckon.

Wouldn't agree with the comment regarding Truax himself though. That was the second time I've seen him and he was even better this time.

His most recent album is also class. Great if slightly bizarre style.

Love the 1st and third. But mayb get rid ofthe green ring on the first, above his head, leave it solid black above him

It's an instrument called 'The Hornicator'.

Truax makes a lot of his own instruments, including a rather unique drum machine that can be seen to the left in the last 3 shots.

    Thanks :)

The green ring is one of the moons that the venue, Cyprus Avenue, has painted on the ceiling.

The title of that photo is 'Howl at the Moon', as his latest album is called 'Why Dogs Howl at the Moon'.

If it loses the moon it loses its atmosphere and link to his work a bit I reckon.
