Pub Tourney (after one year standard of play is improving no end, not winning half as much as I used to)
16 players left avg stack 10k blinds 200/400 SB 5.2k calls BB calls, I(11k) call with Qc Jc, everyone else folds, flop is 7c 9h 10d, checked to me I bet 1600, sb tight player goes all-in BB Folds leaves me 3.6k to call, have I correct odds to call?

Your stacks dont add up. if its 3.6 to you, then sb must of had 5.6 to start with. Pot should be sb stack+2 blinds+your bet=7k

    Getting just under 2/1
so need to be about 34% here
Im assuming that you need your straight here. And pairing the QJ isn't good enough. In that case you aren't getting odds to call.
If the Q or J are good, depends on player, unlikely as he is tight, you have greater odds

    How tight is he?

CRAI at that stage of a poor(enough) tournament smells like trips or a made straight so either you're open to the possibility of getting redrawn even if you do hit or one of your outs is missing.

Is there any chance he's making a move - what's your table image?

Depends what you think he has... assuming you need your straight, you've got 8 outs (or 6 if he's got KK) so you're about 33%... not quite enough to make it a clear 'odds' call

On a side note, why overbet on the flop? I make the pot 1200 but you've bet 1600 on the draw (which is actually bringing you closer to getting the right odds than a bet of, say, 800)

I think this is marginal leaning towards a call for me, and at least one of your overcards will be live here a good bit.

    8 outs is 33%,
but if he has KK its reduced
If he has made straight its reduced
If he has an openender plus a pair its reduced
If he has a set its reduced

All of the above affect his 33%. And are the most likely holdings, (barr KK a diff overpair)

at the same time its a pub game so, a single pair from the board is very likely. Going by my expierence of pub games call, going from the perspective that you need your straight then fold

When I say tight, so not very, it is a pub game in a golf club and the standard isn't as bad as usual, I didn't put him as a player who would be experienced enough to CRA, so put him on K,10 or K,9 if he had an Ace he probably would have raised.
I have a lot of respect at the table because of my albeit brief appearance at the Irish Open and the fact I usually make the money here.

pub tight means little, if that was your actual read at the time then call.
