Heyhow, I was wondering, that as all of the biology based BSc in DN008 share 7 common modules, if I put one down ie genetics will I still be able to go into the others ie Botany?

Yes, you can go into any of the courses if you've done the required modules. You don't choose your major for good until the end of the year.
