    Hi,

Need some help, bought a 32" Samsung LCD and i am trying to set up my PS3 to connect with it.
I bought the HDMI cable from the game shop and thought all i have to do is connect it to the PS3 and then the tv, but i am not getting any picture.

Any idea what could be the problem???

    Thanks in advance

Have your TV on the HDMI input and power on PS3 via power button and HOLD IT for 5 seconds.

That should set it up automatically

    No problem,

    Enjoy your HD Loveliness,

    Just a suggestion,

Try 720p as well as 1080i to see which you think looks better.

Chances are 720p will look better on a 32" because its probably doesnt have 1080 lines horizontally.

How would i change the settings back to 720p???

How would i change the settings back to 720p???

    Its in the settings somewhere,

It will scan again and give you all the resolutions that your display can handle.

It defaults to the "best" one and sony have decided for everyone that 1080i is "better" than 720p

But a lot of people, me included, prefer 720p

So you will have to disable 1080i and then it drops back to 720p

Like I said, its worth a try to make up your own mind about which looks better.
