Afterwards i didn't like it, and was surprised at the whole hand, and one of the reasons its up here. At the time, thought the squeeze would remove most early players, and late limpers were going to be weak.
If I check the turn, then surely one of them will fire at it, if they have it or not.

This hand really isn't close. Limp or fold pre (probably doesn't make a difference which, but if you do Captain Insano stuff like this, then I def prefer fold.), Check/fold flop, check/fold turn.

perfect so far. now bet 1/16th of the pot and fold to any raise.

You want to risk playing for a decent size of your stack for picking up 100 chips especially early on in stt where the gamblers and donks are playing who you cant bluff this is just crazy. Wait till the blinds go up then start raising limpers and peoples blinds.

Harrington has a lot to answer for. Trying to 'squeeze-play' five loose players is insane.

Are you really the hero in the hand, Mellor? Even though I've never played with you, I wouldn't take you as somone who would try this.

Not only that but Talinn is a $5 STT. There's a chance he's ahead here. :D

Im actually none of the players. I have a friend who plays poker. He had a game online at my house and he produced the above during the first hand. I was slating him by the flop, he was defending his play.

He bet the turn and was called and the river was checked down. And Q8 took the hand down.
He said he didnt like it afterwards as was too risky, but still thought it was the right play as he won the hand.
I tried to explain that his thinking is results based and he is wrong. But he is still learning and of the "if you win the chips its the right play" attitude

He occassionally reads boards. But doesn't post. I put up this thread for him to prove and point and even let him try justify his play to you. If it doesn't change his point of view then he is a lost cause.
Thanks for the honest and blunt replys, i expect nothing less.

With the squeeze play, you are really hoping the original raiser folds. The fact that he is still in at the turn suggests that he had something at the beginning and believes that he still has. Normally you would be dead at this stage.

As a player that plays at these levels on PPP, tell your friend that was an excellent play, really nice hand well thought out play and deserving of the win.

Also looking forward to meeting him at the tables.

Just what I thought. I'd imagine there's very few levels online where a squeeze works.
