I'm a big fan of seth rogen & co. Love the 40 year old virgin. But, i'm kind of torn. A lot of people are hyping Knocked Up as the comedy of the year. My question is: Is it that good?
    Is it worth my E8.50?

It is good but if its you're last 8.50 then wait for superbad as its much better and one of the funniest films i have seen in a while

I didnt actually think it was that great to be honest. Some funny bits in the first 45 minutes and it was just your average story after that. Worth watching but not worth the price of your cinema ticket

Same as above, the first half is good but then it starts to get boring.

If I was to pick between Superbad and Knocked Up. Superbad would win hands down.

ah its ok, kindof chck flick meets Lads flick, so you'll laugh at the lads bits and she'll laugh at the girly bits :)

I thought it was excellent. If you're into Seth Rogen, Judd Apatow and love The 40 Year Old Virgin, then I'd say you'd love Knocked Up too!

Really looking forward to Superbad though, looks brilliant.

I was quite pleasently surprised by Knocked Up.

I liked it from the trailer but I could have said the same for 40 Year Old Virgin, which was a let down for me. I was worried going into the cinema that it would be a film that had given away all the jokes in the trailer already, but it wasn't. In fact most of the trailer jokes are mid-level compared to others in it.

There were few really, hilariously funny moments in it but it keeps ticking along at a really nice pace. Lets just say the jokes per minute rate is good enough to keep you happy.

It is one of the most consistently funny films of recent years. It is a really male sense of humour, but it handles what could descend into dumb fart jokes into a hugely likable and funny comedy. It has charm and plenty of laughs - can't say that about too many comedies these days.

she falls in love with him too easily
she decides not to have an abortion far too easy
    its gets soppy half way

i just couldnt buy into it which kind of ruined the humour for me

Is Paul Rudd and Lesly Mann in it very little[from what I've heard]?

Sorry to jump on this point, but for some people that's a pretty simple decision.

Also, the film never shows her to be seriously considering it. It does show her mother telling her to go for it, but she doesn't show an ounce of agreement!

Loved the film by the way. Rogen is fantastic!!

Those of you who have seen it will know what I mean when I say that I
: shrieked in horror at the girly bits!

I liked it a lot. It had realistic characters, which is nice when you can get it. Also, the supporting cast were hilarious, especially the Asian girl.
