    hi all,
starting trinity this oct as a 1st year ot student and just had a worry.
As i was checking out the multitude of sports clubs and soc on offer during freshers week i was just wondering being a O.T. student (ie not being on campus much up at trinity centre in st james etc.) you kinda miss out on some of the societies and clubs which i imagine are central to the main campus.

any medical student boarders here club or soc members? if you have any advice i'd be really grateful.

    Cheers

    Griffin

im a new grad OT. in first year your mainly on-campus. it's about 50/50 in 2nd year and pretty much all the time in James in 3rd year. 4th year= fieldwork placements.

i'v been involved in fencing for the past two years, fenced for tcd in the colours/ varsities and good few other competitions. also been involved in the peer support network for 3 of the four years and i was involved with boxing/ paintballing and film-makers for about a term each.

first years have no excuse not getting involved as their hours are nice and the only subject that needs a lot of time is anatomy. james's is a 25min from tcd or you can get a luas/ bus.

i think i'd regret it if i hadn't got involved in activities in college. being on a team can be really good craic and you really earn your pint ...
