Anyone used 3v vouchers with the playstation store, tried using it to download warhawk but it just wont update my wallet with the funds needed, it just keeps saying transaction cannot be completed, comes up even if i try and add the money incrementally and not in one lump sum

I rang the playstation store helpline and he said they would escalate it and ring me back but we all know thats never going to happen, so if anyone used this method to pay and had problems how did you fix it

I had the same problem as you but it is fixed now. Im guessing that you made multiple PS3 accounts with different email addresses. You need to use the PS3 account (ps3 tag) that uses the same email address as the email address you registered with your 3v card. The reason you cant buy anything on the European PSN store (add funds to your ps3 wallet) with your 3v voucher is because you need to use the same PS3 tag with the same email address as you 3v card.

Heres an example: If I made a ps3 account with this email address john@email.com and registered my 3v card with john@email.com then made another ps3 account with a different address smith@email.com then logged into the smith@email.com and tried to add funds to my wallet using the 3v voucher well then it would not work. However if I logged into john@email.com (which is the same email address as my 3v account) then adding funds to the ps3 wallet will work.

    received this today from 3v

Some big online merchants (such as Ebay, Amazon, Play.com, Playstation store.....) deduct a small amount (such as ?1, $1 or £1) from every new VISA number that has been registered with them simply to ensure that the VISA number is valid. These amounts are normally refunded again to 3V Vouchers within 7 to 10 days and the available balance increased accordingly. There is no option to proceed with any transaction through the specific merchant untill they will finish that test. (As it was already mentioned it should take them from 7 up to 10 days).

guess i got to wait a few more days before anything happens, but 7-10 days for a security check thats rather rubbish to say the least

good news (hopefully) on the horizon:

PlayStation Network cards have finally been released in Asia. Hopefully these babies will also be making their way to North America and other territories soon.

In case you haven't heard of these cards yet, PlayStation Network cards provide PS3 owners without credit cards an alternative way to purchase stuff on the PlayStation Store. All you have to do is go through a simple add-fund procedure to add the face value of your PSN card to your PSN wallet.

potentially some very good news for the creditcardally challenged amongst us. :)
