Hi, Is there anybody out there who does this trip on a daily basis, I am and it seems to be getting worse every day!!!
Would anybody be interested in sharing the commute a couple of days a week - my hours are pretty flexible!
    Thanks.

    Hi,

Not directly relevant to your query, but you might consider getting a map and drawing a straight line from Navan to the Firhouse exit on the M50 and then experimenting with routes along this way. The majority of people take the main roads direct towards Dublin meaning the backroads that approach Dublin at an angle may not have much traffic on them. This is only a suggestion to experiment with. Obviously it’s not guaranteed.

I do it, but like yourself I have flexible hours but I leave my house at 6.15 and usually get to work between 7.15 & 7.30.I head in the N2 and join the M50 at Finglas. It usually takes a half hour to get to the M50 and another half hour to get to sandyford.I leave sandyford in the evening at 3.30 and usually am home around 4.45.I would suggest that you use easypass also

Thanks for the information - I haven't tried the N2 yet - must one of these days! I tend to take back roads from Navan to Dunboyne and from Dunboyne to Lucan and take the M50 from there. It seems much quicker than the mess at Blanchardstown.
    Cheers!

Hi.Just joined this forum. I have to say that I have the misfortune to do this drive every day. I leave Navan at 9am and use backroads to the N2. I then take the M50. Takes me between an hour and fifteen and an hour and a half to do it. It's a pain in the @rse but I am getting used to it. Sorry, not interested in sharing a commute with anyone. I love listening to the radio too much !
