Closing time at Bushy

Some of you may have heard about a recent 'lock-in' at Bushy skatepark.
If not, it basically happened because a temp park warden got p*ssed-off asking people to leave at closing time.
End result - he locked a gang of people in!

Anyway, it ended up on the radio (Live Line) & the powers-that-be aren't very happy about it.

I've been asked to put the word out that hassles at closing time aren't going to be good for the park.
There are still a number of local residents looking for ammunition to CLOSE THE SKATEPARK.
Any form of negative press plays directly into their hands.

The vast majority of skaters & bikers appreciate what we've got.
PLEASE be cool when its closing time & just hit the road
    - if ya notice people takin the p*ss have a word with them.

Overall Bushy skatepark has been very well received
    - we all need to keep it that way.

    Cheers,

    JohnBoy

Why are people giving grief about leaving as u said urself John are they trying to get it closed???

Come on cop on anyone that doesnt leave should get a temporary ban or something then they will think twice about not leaving.

    Hi,
I havent been there at closing time, but if I ever am I'll make sure to help the parkies! Some of them are sound! Some people using bushy arent!!
I've noticed a lot of people with attitudes up there. Some kid sitting on the box beside the deep end told me to "watch it" when i was grinding the lip!! Needless to say it was dealt with swiftly, + humanely I might add. One of these spectators is going to be seriously injured someday, not by me but by a flying board or bike. Lately when i skate there i just keep to myself.
    Ken

Thats ****e, kids are getting such bloody attitudes at a young age, Think there bigger and better than everyone.. what a pain in the ass.. Although there are a lot more calmer sound young lads at bushy than the angry kids which is good!!!

Please, people, be reasonable. Bushy is so far the best place I have ever seen. Gorey is nice too, but Bushy looks like heaven to me. Another step is to get some roof and more lights for it :-)
